God has done amazing things this weekend in Juarez!

I got to partner with a Vineyard church outreach to do a medical clinic in one of the neighborhoods here.  Two pediatricians joined us.  The next day I was the closest person to a "doctor" so I ran the clinic with two nurses, Phil and Pam.

We visited the orphanage again and the team had a great time playing with and loving on the kids.  We even did mini lifegroups and told them about the love of God and prayed for them.

Our outreach that evening was difficult in the beginning because about 7 gang members attended and mocked us as we shared testimonies and did our drama and dance for them.  ALL of them ended up giving their lives to Jesus after David preached.  It was awesome.

Another little boy received Christ, got healed of stomach pain, and saw a vision of Jesus that he said was "beautiful". He said Jesus was bright and shining.  The students praying for him heard him start to pray in a language other than Spanish or English.  His whole countenance was changed after that!

I love serving Jesus!

Hey everybody! John was so impressed with xanga that he now has his own site.  My husband has now entered the world of blog.  His username is stouthearted! Go leave him a comment.

It's amazing how much easier it is to hear God while fasting.  This afternoon, while on our way up to a mountain to pray in Juarez, Mexico, we parked the van beside an old one room building with a cross on it with several teenage girls sitting on the steps.

Most of the team piled into the back of a Joey Carona's pickup to summit the mountain but not everyone could fit.  Me, John, and our teamates David, Micah, and Donnelle stayed behind for the second trip up.

I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to go introduce myself to the girls.  Then, I started to share my testimony with them and David translated (my Spanish still needs help).  I asked if any of them wanted Christ, and a 20 yr. old girl named Daniella said she did.  She looked at the other girls as if to say "Well, isn't anyone going to join me?"  I told her that sometimes, when you follow Jesus, you lose friends.... maybe all of them...that's it not the easy road...that Christians in other countries die for their faith in Christ.

Then, a group of teenage boys joined in the group and John walked over too.  John shared his testimony with the guys about how he lost his father to suicide when he was eight.  They were locked in on him.

We talked about our need for a Savior and they agreed that without Jesus, they would perish.  We invited them to pray to receive Christ if they wanted to and then led them in a prayer in Spanish.  They all looked so relieved to have their sinned wiped away!

We were also able to pray for the Holy Spirit to come on them and give them power and boldness to preach the gospel.

There were 12 of them in all (like the first 12 disciples!)

They were all a part of the little Catholic church there and had never heard the story of Christ's redemption!

The girl Daniella was actually the youth leader and asked me to teach her how to pray.  I am going to disciple her while I am here. Here's a pic of Daniella and me:

We are going to do an outreach in that same neighborhood in 2 days and we would love for you to pray for that and the new believers that were brought into the kingdom today!

John and I are in Juarez, Mexico for a month and we are so blessed to be here.  I am the team "physician" and have officially made a fool of myself on the dance team at our first outreach last night.  I seemed to have forgotten every move of the dance as soon as I stepped out there!...another lesson in humility....and another reason why I've been on the worship team the last two times I've been here!  I will press on.  I am praying for the gift of interpretation here because I speak Spanish much better than I understand it....so basically I end up talking a lot and not listening enough!  With God all things are possible!  I will try to update you on things to pray for while we are here.  God loves Juarezites!
